Friday Finds #4

IMG_9990

It’s been a while since I’ve done a Friday Finds post – life has been a little out of control. Work is ramping up for both my partner and I and the every elusive “work/life” balance battle continues. The most significant event by far was our little Sweet Pea going into hospital to have her tonsils out yesterday and while she came through with flying colours her vulnerability has never felt so exposed to me. I’ve spent more time with her in past 48 hours than I have in the past 2 weeks and the mother guilt is on high rotation – why did it take surgery for me to stop and give time to her??!!!

So, with all of that going on here are some sweet Friday Finds to help us ease gently into the weekend…

– I’m going to participate in this I think…

– Loving this album right now

– Bought this and this for Sweet Pea

– And might just get this for myself…

This cookbook has been a complete winner for us – even I can cook from it!!

How about you? How will you be going into the weekend??

Friday Finds #3

I’m not sure how it got to be Friday already but I’m bloody glad it is!! I’m looking forward to a weekend of catching up with family and friends, connecting with my lovely man and little Sweet Pea who I feel have been sorely neglected of late (more about that next week) and hopefully some reading and sleeping!

Here are some places to dive into over the weekend if you are so inclined…

– I know I am probably WAY late to the party on this one but how good is Serial?? I listened to the first 3 episodes on the drive home from Sydney this afternoon and I can’t wait to binge listen to the rest soon.

– Speaking of looking forward to I am seriously looking forward to the release of Pitch Perfect 2 later this year…

– I love this sweet idea

– I so want these editions of some of my favourite books but they aren’t sold in Australia – typical!

– Purchased this book for Sweet Pea (and maybe a little bit for me…) this week – just adorable!

– And this book for me – after seeing The Imitation Game I want to read more about Bletchley Park, and especially about the women who worked there.

How about you? What has captured your attention this week??
