Farewell Paris

Paris In July 001

It seems as though July has come to an end all in a rush and I find it hard to believe that I am writing the final Paris in July post for 2014! As with all great adventures there are thank you’s to be made:

– Thank you to all of you in the blogging world for jumping on board Paris in July with such enthusiasm and passion. My own life commitments have meant that I haven’t been able to travel around as many of the blogs participating as I would have liked to but I am grateful to each and every one of you for joining in – without you all Paris in July would be pretty boring!

– Thank you to all of our wonderful co-hosts for the event this year, Meredith, Adria, Vicki and Nichole. It has been great to share the hosting responsibilities with you and it has been inspiring to see each of the different perspectives and talents you have brought to the event.

– And last, but by no means least, thank you to my wonderful friend and partner in Paris crime, Tamara! Your passion for Paris and all things French has inspired me to broaden my experiences of the world and dream big – thank you my dearest friend!

I hope you have all enjoyed your slice of Paris this year. As promised I have one more prize to give away and that goes to Mae Travels for her beautiful post Paris in My Mind’s Eye. Mae if you could post your email address in the comments below I will contact you regarding your prize.

What has been your favourite moment of Paris in July? Any ideas or suggestions for next years event??

I’ve really enjoyed reading everyone’s posts: they make me so desperate to go back to Paris, though! Thank you for coordinating it again this year — hugely enjoyable!

Thank you so much for cohosting this wonderful event. I’ve watched from afar the past few years, and was delighted when I realised that I could fit Paris in July into my schedule this year….although it hasn’t been easy.

Like you, life is busy. We have teenagers that requiring lots of taxiing, feeding and negotiating skills! We had a week away, followed by a houseful of visitors for 4 days. Back to work with several after hours events (which I love doing, but they eat into my reading and blogging time nonethless).

So we should be proud of the fact that we got any reading and blogging done this month…and maybe one quiet evening soon, I will also get around to checking out everyone’s final burst of posts.

In the meantime, bon chance, bon lecture & blogging heureux (with apologies for my poor attempt at French!)

I loved reading about so many different aspects of Paris… from food to perfume to books. It was exciting to know that each week, there would be plenty of new photos, ideas and thoughts from around the world. Thank you for including me in this fun event!
