High Tea

One of my favourite things to ‘do’ is High Tea – I love the elegance, the prettiness, the decadence, and of course – the tea!

At the moment my family and I are over in Perth visiting my best friend who moved here with her family at the beginning of the year – it is so wonderful to be spending time with her and thanks to my generous partner who took on board the care of our 4 kids for the afternoon we got to experience High Tea Perth style yesterday.

We went to Rochelle Adonis Cakes and Confections in Highgate and it was totally delectable. The setting, the service and the food were all gorgeous. The dessert plate had a little Christmas in July themes going on with fruit mince tarts and fruit cake with brandy butter icing which weren’t really our cup of tea (I just don’t get sultanas in cakes!!) but everything else was divine. The raspberry and chocolate ice cream sundae and the Eton mess with a gorgeous lemon curd were definite favourites.

What about you? Is High Tea a delight you like to engage in? Any special places in Australia I should add to my bucket list??

Yes! Love high tea. Can’t suggest any place in Australia. But if you come to Calgary, Alberta, Canada one day, my recommendation is to drive to Banff National Park and have high tea in the historic Banff Springs Hotel.
