Paris in July – The Week That Was

Paris at home 008

It is a little hard to believe but we have already reached the end of week one in our Paris in July adventure. Tamara, myself and our other co-hosts have spent so long thinking, dreaming and planning this month that I just want it to linger and not rush us by.. But it’s a bit like a wonderful book – you want it to last forever but you also want to get to the end in a hurry to see what’s waiting there!

Paris at home 005

This week I have loved being able to immerse myself in the world of Paris and France from a distance (while trying not to be too jealous that my parents are wandering around the French Riviera today…). I have spent some quiet moments taking some photos of the evidence of my love of all things Paris and France scattered around my home to add to this post and as well as writing my own posts here and here I have enjoyed spending time looking at participants posts about their own Paris in July reading, watching, cooking and travel.

As for my co-hosts – they have been busy too. Tamara has introduced us to a French chef (I so badly wanted to be in Paris after reading that post!) as well as reflecting on some of her early memories of her love for France. Adria and Vicki shared some of their favourite things about living in Paris, Nichole posted some of her gorgeous photos from the city and Meredith reviewed a beautiful book of essays about Paris as well as reminiscing about her first trip to Paris as an 11 year old.

We would love to hear about your first week in Paris in July.

Please add your Paris in July posts from this week to the Mr Linky below – I will be choosing one post as this weeks prize winner!

I agree that the week has flown past, but we can comfort ourselves that it wasn’t an actual week since July started on a Tuesday. I’ve so enjoyed reading everyone’s posts.

You and Tamara are doing a bang up job of keeping this year’s Paris in July so organized! Every day is a feast for the eyes and spirit. It feels as if we are all actually there, or as close as we can possibly get.

I’d enjoyed this blogging event back in 2012. Glad to participate again this year. Just posted my first entry, a movie review of Haute Cuisine. Thanks for your time and dedication on hosting this. I typed in my info in the Mister Linkey Widget but my blog name doesn’t show up on the list. I tried it again but it said I’ve already entered. Could you pls. check on your side? Thanks.

I published a book review yesterday, though I actually read the book last weekend — was it too late to include my link? I can always post it again later if you think it’s more appropriate! Thanks again for hosting the event!

Are we supposed to post here again. Sometimes I wonder if I’m missing other Linkys on other blogs too.
