Taking Stock

Fiji 2014 139

I am currently enrolled in Blog with Pip – I say enrolled as opposed to doing because I haven’t really felt as though I have been giving the course my all. The course is fantastic and the community of people that have joined together to start or improve their blogs with Pip’s help are warm, welcoming, funny and friendly. Everything you want from an online course right? But my cup overflows with “doing” at the moment and I feel that all I have the energy to do is read, absorb and listen. So, I feel this “Taking Stock” post as promoted by Pip on her own blog is perfect for me right now…

Making : Banana Muffins and lots of cups of tea
Cooking : As above!
Drinking : Tea, glorious tea
Reading: So many things! Have just started The Truth about the Harry Quebert Affair
Wanting: A new laptop!
Looking: At how fast my little girl is growing up
Playing: Shops and running and jumping
Deciding: On what it is I really want to be doing with my time
Wishing: For more time!
Enjoying: Getting more sleep
Waiting: For July
Liking: Time to read
Wondering: About the state of the world
Loving: My family
Pondering: Just how I can reduce the piles of washing in the house…
Considering: Hiring a cleaner
Watching: Peppa Pig
Hoping: For the warm weather to go on, and on, and on…
Marvelling: At how clever my Sweet Pea is
Needing: To get moving
Smelling: Fresh coffee (but not drinking it!)
Wearing: Polka dots
Following: The Sydney Writers Festival through Twitter and Facebook
Noticing: How much my head hurts
Knowing: This too shall pass
Thinking: About what to have for dinner
Feeling: Tired but excited
Admiring: Parent’s who work outside the home
Sorting: Clothes to sell at Raid My Wardrobe
Buying: Cute clothes for Sweet Pea
Getting: Headaches from not eating chocolate!
Bookmarking: This
Disliking: The dog next door who does NOT stop barking!!
Opening: New books like this
Giggling: At Daddy Pig!
Snacking: On cruskits and strawberries
Coveting: A trip to Italy
Wishing: As above!
Helping: My students move through crises
Hearing: Everything now that I have been to my ear specialist!

How about you? Is it time to take stock in your life too?

Love all different responses to the prompts. You learn so much about people from such a simple exercise. I didn’t feel like putting mine on my blog so it’s in the comments on BWP.

It’s a great reflective exercise isn’t it Michelle? I’m going to try and do it every month I think…

Thanks Deb! It is a great way to learn a little more about each other. I think I even learnt a little but about myself!

Oh – what an amazing list! Blogging with Pip sounds very encouraging. I am now covetting the cook book too – that’s just gorgeous – thanks for sharing this list. Sounds like somethings shifted in your house recently – and maybe that’s a good thing. Enjoy the tea and miffins and a good read.

I thought of you when I bought that cookbook T – knew you would love it too. I really want to start trying some of the principles in it but it’s going to take a lot of effort…
